My FAVORITE time of year is back!! :)

HOORAY!!!!! FALL IS HERE!!!

This is truely my most favorite time of the year!:)

This first pic reminds me of when I was a small girl. My grammie would take my sister and I out on walks and we would collect our favorite colors and shapes of leaves. Then we would bring them all home and make designs out of them. After we made the design we liked we transfered them onto wax paper and ironed the 2 pieces of wax paper together. This made a BEAUTIFUL well preserved collage. :) We used to make lots of these! I remember doing this at my parents house also. I also remember doing this at grammies with my cousin Whitney :)

The weather in Fall is so great! It is the perfect cool... and their is the slight breeze that blows around the smell of leaves! Then there are the GORGEOUS leaves, all different colors and shapes falling all around you! Here are a couple of poems I found!

When autumn wind goes running
It does some magic things.
It gives the shadows dancing shoes
It gives the bright leaves wings
When autumn wind goes running

It curls the bonfire's tail of smoke
And shares a little whispered joke
With cornstalks who delight to prattle
It turns a seed pod into a rattle
When autumn wind goes running

Leaves in the Fall come tumbling down,
Scarlet and yellow, russet and brown,
Leaves in the garden are swept in a heap,
The trees are ready for sleep.

A fallen leaf is nothing more
than a summers wave good bye
Anonymous

Pretty leaves are falling down,
Green, orange, yellow and brown.
Here comes one colored red,
It landed on my head.

Pumpkins in the cornfields
Gold among the brown
Leaves of rust and scarlet
Trembling slowly down
Birds that travel southward
Lovely time to play
Nothing is as pleasant
As an autumn day!

No spring nor summer beauty hath such grace
as I have seen in one autumnal face
Autumn quote by John Donne

The leaves had a wonderful frolic.
They danced to the wind's loud song.
They whirled, and they floated, and scampered.
They circled and flew along.
The moon saw the little leaves dancing.
Each looked like a small brown bird.
The man in the moon smiled and listened.
And this is the song he heard.
The North Wind is calling, is calling,
And we must whirl round and round,
And then, when our dancing is ended,
We'll make a warm quilt for the ground.
