Here comes hunting camp!:)

Brian and I are leaving the 4th of Sept for deer and elk hunting. We are hoping to get all of our animals with our bows this year so wish us luck!:) Best part of this trip will be that we will be gone most of the month!:) WHOO HOO!!! No stress, no work!! Dad and Josh will be coming up the 4th also and staying for about 5 days with us. My cuz Spencer will also be coming up around the 12th to rifle hunt deer. :) So far things are coming together as planned..... EXCEPT, the sewar line on the camper is all messed up, so we are busy repairing that. I sure hope it gets to workin.... if not we get to use the great outdoors as our restroom for a whole 16 days, eeww not my idea of fun! Also one of my bestest friends was gonna come with us, but couldnt get the time off! :( SAD! So once again, like normal, (and not complaining about this) I am the only girl in camp for 16 days!! So I guess I should re-phrase the last comment.... things are coming together, not as planned, but not too bad. :)



Brian and I have been so so excited the past couple days.... geezz we wish the day would just come! We are both needing the freedom!! :) So this time, when I say that I promise pictures I really mean it. I have a cute little camera now and I guarantee it will be completely FULL of pics and videos! All stay tuned for our Hunting Camp Adventures, I am sure there will be TONZ of cool stories to tell!:)

Daddy's Shot!

Here is my dad's shot.... It was an awesome vital shot at around 60 yards.... however the antelope did not want to die. Dad had to shoot him 3 times..... all vital shots. This is a nice antelope too... it is a bit smaller than joshs, but has ivory tips. :) that was such a fun day!:) this video is also short... i got this one in segments, we kept having to move. :)

We were able to catch Josh's Antelope hunt on video. This was not only his first animal taken, but it was his first archery hunt! He did so so good!! We were all so proud of him! The first part of the video is kinda long. Joshua felt more comfortable with dad by his side, as you will see. Everyone needs their daddy to be there with them.... especially on something as memorable as this! :) My camera would not zoom in so you have to really look to see the buck standing out there. I want you all to pay special attention to the end of the video right after josh shoots the buck.... My dad was SO happy for him!:O) You will have to rewind that part a couple times just for the laugh! :) HAHAHAHA!! :0)







We were also able to catch Dad's shot on video... I will post that next :)

Antelope Season

Antelope season is here..... We have had a BLAST so far!! Brian and I went out hunting on the 17th and I got my doe that day. :) That was my first kill with a bow... 50 yard shot, first shot. Brian passed up some really nice bucks in search of his monster! he still has not gotten his buck, but hopefully soon. The next day Dad, Josh, Brian and I all went out hunting. Dad and Josh had tags and both filled out that day!:) I got their hunts on video and lots and lots of pics.... i dont have the good pics right now but will post them soon. :)

Fair/ Blues Festival

Last Saturday Brian and I decided we were going to go to the Fair and Granger Blues Festival. We had such a fun night! While at the fair we met up with a couple friends and goofed off for a while. Brian really wanted to go check out the Granger Blues festival so we ended up leaving the fair at the start of the Emerson Drive concert and driving out to Granger. If I had to do it all again I would have never left fair... there was only like 50 people if that, at the Blues Fest. We ended up having lots of fun that night! Here is a couple pics!

There were SO many different stands that were selling sunglasses... so Brian, Hollie and I all went around trying on sunglasses! These are Brians beer goggles! (ever hear the county song about beer goggles?)
