Well we finally went Skydiving! :) I dont have the pics yet... the CD they gave us didnt work so I had to call for another one. The Video is also being sent in the mail.... they shoud be here with in the next week :) So onto the Experience.... People this is the most Awesome thing to do!! The words to describe Skydiving are CRAZY, AMAZING, AWESOME, FREAKING CRAZY!!! haha!! There is nothing like the feeling of standing at the open door of an Airplane looking down, going hundreds of miles per hour.
When we got there they put in a video for us to watch on the basics of Skydiving. Yes, it is designed to scare the crap out of a person. Then after they have you sign your life away you get all suited up. The suits are definatly not cute, but they have lots of padding in the butt area, designed for the landing. ( you usually land on your butt.) After the suits comes the harnesses... they were actually more comfortable than we thought they would be. After all of that, they go over the basics with you again.... Bellybutton, Breathe, Banana. :) They tell you everything you will need to know up in the air. :) So then the fun part... getting on the airplane :) This is a little nerve racking.... cuz once you get on the plane you are pretty much committed to the actual jump! This was not only our first Skydive, it was Brian's Frist Airplane ride. When the plane takes off they have you belted in between your tandem and harness. once your in the air, it's about 3-5 minutes before the actual jump. You jump from a whopping 13,000 feet in the air! :) (From the ground looking up the airplane is literally just a small spec in the sky!) Then to the Scariest part of all... Jumping!! The Tandem is fully hooked up to you now and you scoot towards the door. When you get to the door, you are told to put your toes over the edge of the platform and hold on to the chest part of your harness... your tandem then counts down, 3...2...1... jump! You really dont have to worry about jumping cuz your tandem will do it for you! Once you are out of the plane all I can describe is a flying feeling... you dont feel like you are free falling, you feel like you are flying! :) So Brian jumped first, and I followed shortly after him.... Brians jump was MUCH more Scary than mine. His First Chute was not hooked on right and didnt open... the Tandem kinda panicked and had to pull the reserve shoot. Brian ended up free falling Twice the distance that I did. While up in the air my tandem had just pulled our shoot and I saw a Parachute floating infront of us with nobody attached to it. I was so caught up in the experience that I didnt realize that it was NOT normal for a parachute to be just floating in the air with nobody attached to it :) Come to find out it was Brian's First Chute... Not even 20 seconds later my tandem turned us and Showed me Brian and and his tandem floating safely down to the earth on their reserve chute. ( I had no clue what happened until we hit the ground and started talking about it! ) While in the air you can learn how to steer and control what direction you go... pull left you spin left, pull right you spin right... pull straight down with both handles and you simply float in the air. Landing was fun... it kinda knocks the wind out of ya. You put your feet straight out infront of you and some to a hard sliding halt on your butt. :) There is no feeling that can compare to jumping out of an Airplane.... it is AMAZING!! Overall this was one of the most Crazy, Amazing, Wonderful experiences Brian and I have EVER had! :) Pics and hopefully a video will be posted in a week or so :)

Awesome! So glad that you guys finally went. I am still waiting to go. Maybe next summer when I come home! Did you go to Ogden to do it.
You crazy kids!! I am so glad that you had fun. It is probably a good thing you didn't know it was Brian's chute floating past you. Can't wait for the pictures.
Wow that sounds amazing! I am glad you two were able to go. That is pretty scary about your hubby's chute, yikes! What a fun day.
